Yemeni Forces Rescue Indian Cargo Ship Crew After Red Sea Attack

The Red Sea Coast Guard forces and the Yemeni naval forces announced today the rescue of the crew of an Indian cargo ship that sank after being attacked by a bomb-laden boat in the Red Sea, west of Yemen.

The "2 December" agency, affiliated with the National Resistance, quoted maritime sources as saying that the ship "Faizi Nouri Olya" was attacked by a bomb-laden boat while sailing 13 nautical miles south of Al-Hudaydah, which led to its sinking. The naval forces and coast guard, in a joint operation, managed to rescue all members of its crew, totaling 14 sailors.

The sources clarified that the rescued crew includes 13 Indian sailors and one Yemeni sailor, with no casualties reported among them. They were transported to a safe location and received the necessary medical assistance following the rescue operation.
